SUMMER OF SCI-FI: 05.01.2025 to 09.01.2025
LADIES, Kind Gentleman, Gentleman who prefer gents (regardless of labels), and all the “Fabulous People” who have rainbow dreams; BEAUX HOMMES salutes you and welcome you to our annual Summer of Sci-Fi super-issue.
The issue will run all summer and end in the fall. We’re going to blast off into space and explore what the future will bring us. We’ll examine the dilemma and flaws of a perceived utopia and it’s ugly sibling, a dystopia too. We’ll have fun with friendly aliens, and “gird our loins” and bomb shelters against those who plan on invasion and conquest. We’ll talk sex or should we say, the future of that sticky subject. Tech, pandemics, zombies, men taking steroids (legally), women freezing eggs (possibly illegal under Trump-roast), time travel, steampunk, funk, design and all things associated with dreams and freedom.
Oh yes, freedom. Tech seems to currently control our lives in the 21st century, also giving a high-five to the resurgence of fascism. Oh those nasty, small penis, going to tell you what to do fascists. We laugh at them at our own peril and you truly need the following to fight fascism in all its butt-ugly forms. That is: love, creativity, organization, and the will to not let them grind you down. Fight back like the handmaidens this year. Don’t sit back and hope a wookie will save you or they’ll play by “Prime Directive” Federation rules. They won’t.

You can laugh, but we didn’t get the Federation and all its glorious values. Today’s fascists have no Klingon type honor or the code of the noble Jedi.
