Gothic is a beautiful film that is full of mood, romance, and seductive imagery. A true piece of historical fiction, that is done in a classy way with a lot of thought. The tale tells the story of that faithful summer when British literary luminaries spent together and the inspiration for Frankenstein and other horror tales was born.
The film shows the “Free Love” movement by Lord Byron and the delectable decadence that made it so. The movie is a favorite of ours and if you love romance, suspense, some horror, and period pieces; this film is for you. The pacing and storytelling are wonderful and its a perfect film for a date or a group of adults that want sophisticated Halloween fun.
