ABOUT:
“The Powers of Matthew Star” was a short-lived American science fiction television series about an alien prince hiding on Earth as a teenager. Alongside his guardian, he navigates high school while evading alien assassins and occasionally aiding the U.S. Air Force. The show experienced production delays and title changes before its debut. The first half focused on Matthew’s struggles with adolescence and his growing powers, while the second half shifted to government missions. Critical reception was unfavorable, and the program was canceled after one season.
Despite its premise of combining teen drama with superpowers, the series struggled to find an audience.
OUR THOUGHTS:
A wonderful show that was cancelled too soon. An awesome story that the whole family can watch, yet it retains themes that are powerful and required for adult viewers. Handsome star and cast and awesome storylines about a prince running away from his persecutors. Catch this show if you can.
