French enameller, Pierre Pénicaud (b. ca. 1515, Limoges, d. ca. 1590, Limoges) was the last prominent member of a French family of enamellers active in Limoges during the sixteenth century. Members of the family were noted for their work in grisaille enamel, monochromatically painted enamel work intended to look like sculpture.
