One of my our most favorite drawings by Paul Cadmus — untitled, as far as we know, and very rarely reproduced. All we can say for certain is that it’s from before 1980. Possibly from the year 1988. One can’t even be 100% sure that this longhaired blond is the ubiquitous Jon Anderson or not (although it seems likely), as his face is largely hidden by his hand. Other than his beauty, we are struck by the unusual stark low-angle lighting, which feels as if it was probably firelight.
