OUR THOUGHTS:
On Swift Horses (2024) is a romantic drama set in the 1950s, directed by Daniel Minahan and based on the novel by Shannon Pufahl. It is a story of exploration and love, that defies sexuality and sexual orientation. Translation, everybody is fucking and loving, and a lot of same sex drama.
The story follows Muriel and Lee, a newlywed couple who begin a new life in California after Lee returns from the Korean War. However, their relationship is strained by the arrival of Julius, Lee’s charismatic younger brother. Julius, a free spirit with an enigmatic past, stirs unexpected feelings in Muriel, sparking a story of love, desire, and self-discovery in a world marked by social restrictions.
Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Jacob Elordi, and Will Poulter, On Swift Horses is an emotional portrait of identity, freedom, and the complexities of love in a time of change.
