OUR THOUGHTS!

We left a small “skeleton crew” at the NYC office. Very small and gave everyone off to go down to Times Square and see the legendary Madonna. Pics were taken and we share them with you (thanks Gio and Frank) and it was All Access fun.

She made history and proved that she’s one of the last or few Mega-Stars from the past that still command a royal performance.

Kisses from PARIS!!!

Confessions in Times Square: Our mother has come home!

Well folks it is official: It happened! The gigantic collaboration of Madonna and Grindr, and that one-of-a-kind Pride concert in the middle of Times Square… From hell! What an amazing holiday omg

Almost 50 years ago, a young girl arrived from Michigan to New York, with almost all her determination, talent and big dreams in her pocket. She came to live, to fight, to create and to find her art. And tonight, as a real queen, she returned to the middle of the world, to celebrate the Pride month with us and to drop a musical atomic bomb: the latest single from the upcoming new album, Confessions II!

The playlist was a brilliantly put together bridge between past and present: I Feel So Free, Bring Your Love, Love Sensation, Get Together, I Love New York and Hung Up.

The crowd literally exploded when I Feel So Free started. The energy coming out of Times Square was shaking like electricity even through the livestream!
Mixing three songs of the new album with three iconic anthems of the original Confessions on a Dance Floor was a musical time travel spanning twenty years. He reminded us that although the years fly by, the heartbeat of the dance floor hasn’t changed a bit.
The new track Love Sensation is a brutal club anthem, pure Madonna euphoria! She’s got everything that makes generations love her: a catchy chorus, an irresistible beat, and at its core, a message we all need to hear:

“There’s nothing we can’t do.” “
Let’s repeat this together, lads: There is nothing we can’t do!

Bob the Drag Queen and the legendary club icon Kevin Aviance (from the House of Aviance) mentioned the diva throughout the evening as “Mother Madonna” (Mother Madonna). When she called herself “Mama Madonna”, the crowd erupted in ecstasy each and every time. This is how to start pride? This is so unapologetically theatrical Madonna!

But let’s go back for a moment to Love Sensation. This song instantly took me back in time. It included the echoes of 90s house music, the pulses of the 2000s Confessions, and those legendary over-partied nights in cult places such as the Lokál, Angel Bar or Capella Café. For the fans of the roots, this track is both homely familiar and brand new. Kristóf, I see you!

That mini gig was a visual orgy. Everything came together and breathed to a rhythm. The costumes, the choreography, the faces, the crowd, the fashion, just the view itself was something amazing. I seriously feel like I was 15 again. And then there were 20. For 25. And here’s to 30! Only Mother Madonna is able to take you back in time and bring out these feelings.

As I write this, I am completely blown away by the new Madonna era. This is the way you do it! Thanks for seeing and celebrating your gay fans. Thank you for putting on such an amazing Pride party in the heart of Times Square. And thanks for showing Grindr love too! We continue to click on you, Our Mother!
There are artists who release music. Some people are going on a concert. And then there is Madonna who creates MOMENTS. And it gives you an experience. Tonight, in the middle of Times Square created a lasting memory again.

Happy Pride month everyone! And now let’s hit the dance floor!
