ARTWORK:
Luigi Sabatelli (1772 – 1850) sprang from the people. Italian, the son of a cook in Florence. He was sent to study in Rome, where they saw him being supported throughout his artistic career, and where he grew to become a Neoclassical painter, printmaker and draughtsman, active in Milan, Rome, and his native city of Florence.
