ARTWORK: From the days when shared nudity was the norm for males when swimming, etc. In those days, men worked out nude or in a loin cloth/thong outfit. The goal was to copy the ancients and also practical. In those days, people only had one pair of shoes and a few clothes. Closets weren’t big like they are today. Mirrors didn’t officially come into gyms until early 20th century, but there were facilities in Europe that had them. Artists talk about this in their journals.
