SUMMER OF SCI-FI: 06.01.2023 to 09.01.2023
“LADIES and BEAUX HOMMES readers, we send you love from PARIS! We hope you’re enjoying the Summer of Sci-Fi 2023. We have more surprises, fun, and all things sci-fi for you. Science fiction is like a prophet. The genre can accurately predict the future in some instances. The sci-fi of the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s all predicted a scorched Earth by pollution made by humans, versus an alien invasion. Yet, we find ourselves in a “I Told U So,” world in terms of the heat this summer. C’est La Vie on that one for sure.
With that said, for the closing month of the 2023 Summer of Sci-Fi super-issue, we’re exploring the gross, gooey, and downright disgusting sci-fi. Parasites, plagues, zombies, bites, and all things that are yucky from the world of biology mostly. Although the other scientific disciplines, like physics, chemistry, and others apply too.
