The movie to see this year and the world EPIC is fully earned. Ridley Scott did an excellent job. We had premiere tickets and were blown away.
The film is packed with wonderful costumes, a perfect blending of traditional historical biographies filming techniques, via the use of sets and actors; and combining it with some CGI. The mesh is pure visual bliss for both the eyes and mind. Napoleon is a controversial figure in world history, and some French love him and others feel he is not worth so much focus. The views of French nationals on his role in their history varies. So, for travelers to France, sit back and listen to your French hosts views, versus getting into needless arguments.
The script written by David Scarpa is outstanding and full of surprises. We won’t ruin it here.
But this film captures both sides. Is Napoleon a national hero of France or villain? We’ll let you decide this November. The film opens worldwide on November 22nd. A perfect Thanksgiving treat for those who live in the USA.
