Bastille Day:
What are the July 14 celebrations all about?
Happy Bastille Day from BEAUX HOMMES magazine to all of France and those around the world who love all things French. This day marks the “hard start” of the French Revolution in 1789 when the Bastille was stormed, and political prisoners were freed. Four years later, the monarchy in France came to a brutal end and the founding of the French Republic and later flavors of French political governance came to be. Which would later see the rise of Napoleon. But we’ll save him for later. Today is about equality, liberty, and brotherhood.
