ABOUT THE ARTIST

Ménageot was born in London (UK), the son of Augustin Ménageot; who was an art dealer and cultural ambassador for France to the British elite. He participated in many art competitions in Italy and France. His style was one of beauty and many art collectors can find joy in his academic studies. The model for this piece was one of the most popular art school models in Paris, who worked as a bartender and a part-time strongman (for festivals and the circus). He died in Paris. The above painting is a self-portrait.
