LADIES, we bring you a lovely collectible standing figurative male nude, circa 1804. It was done by the artist and engraver, Claude Louis Masquelier. He was a French academic artist who lived from 1781-1852. He was born in Paris, where he also died. Although he was a resident of Paris, he also traveled and studied to Milano and Rome in Italy. He studied under his father Louis-Joseph Masquelier. He also specialized in producing engravings for published works and private clients. You can find his works at antique shops throughout Paris.
